Minibus Walking : Headland Walk
29 December 2009
30 December 2009
This walk features bracing walking on the Yorkshire Coast!
Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th December 2009
This magnificent route along the top of the chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head extends for 18 miles from Bridlington Harbour to Speeton village and takes in some of the finest coastal scenery on the east coast of Britain.
Easy walking along the promenade brings us to Sewerby and its famous ‘buried cliff’ from where we continue to Danes Dyke and South Landing before completing the first day at Flamborough Lighthouse.
More easy walking with superb sea caves, arches and stacks takes us to North Landing followed by the moderate climb to Bempton Cliffs. Further cliff top walking provides excellent views northwards towards Filey Brigg as we approach the tiny village of Speeton at the end of the walk.
This is an exhilarating walk that is guaranteed to blow the cobwebs away!
Full minibus support with welcoming hot drinks & food is provided.
